The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a groom on his wedding day in Karachi has been solved.

Police confirmed that the man, identified as Jehanzeb, was not abducted as initially suspected.

He voluntarily left his home in Korangi's Madina Colony on the day of his wedding, informing family members that he was heading to a salon. However, he left his mobile phone behind and didn't return.

He later confessed to the police that the marriage had been arranged by his family, which caused him severe mental stress regarding the relationship.

Authorities are still questioning Jehanzeb to formally close the case.

The incident was reported to Zaman Town Police Station by his brother, Waseem, who fears Jahanzeb may have been kidnapped.

“Jahanzeb was very excited about his wedding. He works in a private factory and had no known disputes,” Waseem told police.
