A couple and their child died after a trailer hit their motorcycle at Karachi's Native Jetty Bridge on Friday.

The police said that the incident took place around 1:05am when the couple and a child were riding a motorcycle. They sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi, where doctors pronounced all three dead.

The victims’ identities could not be immediately confirmed. The police said that the driver managed to escape from the spot along with the heavy vehicle.

In a separate incident in Baldia Town, a man on a motorcycle was hit by a loaded dump truck at Baldia-4. He was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi with serious injuries but was declared dead upon arrival.

He said that the police reached the site, arrested the driver, and seized the vehicle.

According to Karachi traffic police records, 803 people lost their lives in road accidents in the city in 2025, though authorities say traffic conditions showed signs of improvement during the second half of the year.
