KARACHI: A newborn baby was rescued alive from a small drain near Azimpura Bus Stop in Shah Faisal Colony, within the jurisdiction of Karachi’s Al-Falah Police Station.

Upon receiving the report, police, Jahangir Korangi Base, Rescue 1122, and Edhi ambulance teams immediately rushed to the scene and safely retrieved the child.

Rescue personnel took the baby into their care, provided initial medical aid, and transferred the newborn to a nearby hospital, where the child is reported to be out of danger.

Police have launched an investigation to determine who abandoned the newborn and under what circumstances.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas, and the search for potential suspects is ongoing, while ensuring the baby’s full care and protection.
