The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles and four drones launched by Yemen’s Houthi group towards Saudi Arabia’s Eastern and Southern regions, as hostilities between the two sides intensified.

According to Reuters, Saudi Civil Defense issued early-warning alerts for potential threats in the Eastern Province and Kharj governorate before confirming that the danger had passed.

The coalition did not immediately provide details of casualties or damage resulting from the latest interceptions.

The announcement followed a series of reported attacks over the past several days.

The coalition has also announced strikes targeting Houthi military infrastructure, including missile launchers and storage facilities. Spokesman Turki al-Maliki said the operations were aimed at dismantling the group’s ballistic missile network and disrupting its supply routes.
