Pakistan Navy successfully test-fires Taimoor air-launched cruise missile

The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live weapon firing of the indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, demonstrating its precision strike capability against maritime targets, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the anti-ship missile accurately executed its mission, validating the navy’s ability to detect, track and neutralise enemy sea-based threats at extended ranges.

The successful test underscores a significant enhancement in Pakistan’s naval combat readiness and highlights the armed forces’ growing capacity for coordinated, multi-domain operations in the conventional warfare spectrum.

“The demonstration by Pakistan Navy marks a pivotal elevation of national defence capability,” the statement said, adding that the Pakistan Navy remains committed to safeguarding the country’s maritime interests and sovereign waters.

The President, Prime Minister, Chief of Defence Forces and the services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the development, terming it a major milestone in strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities.
