Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated that, by the grace of Allah, Pakistan had defeated an adversary many times larger than itself during the Marka-e-Haq, “Battle for Truth”.

Addressing a press conference alongside senior officers of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy on the completion of one year of the operation, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that, through Allah’s blessings and mercy, the armed forces had fulfilled the expectations of the nation.

The DG ISPR stated that Pakistan had defeated an enemy five times its size in a multi-domain conflict.

He added that not only Pakistani children but also Indian children were aware of this reality, although, according to him, India was unwilling to acknowledge it.

He further said that India had carefully crafted a narrative portraying Pakistan as a sponsor of terrorism, despite itself being involved in such activities.

He claimed that the international community was no longer prepared to accept what he described as India’s fabricated allegations.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said that one year had passed, yet the questions raised by Pakistan remained unanswered. He asked who the individuals responsible for the incident were and called on India to specify which alleged terrorist camps it had targeted.

The military spokesperson also stated that Kashmir was not an integral part of India but rather an internationally recognised dispute. He accused India of orchestrating acts of terrorism against its own people and subsequently placing the blame on others, adding that India should “learn to speak the truth”.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further remarked that Indian politicians appeared “more like warmongers than statesmen”. He said that if such language was to continue, India should confront Pakistan directly.

Delivering what he described as a clear and unequivocal message, he stated that Pakistan was prepared to respond with full force to any form of aggression, whether conventional or unconventional.

He added that modern warfare extended across land, air, sea, cyberspace, and the realm of information and perception.

According to him, Pakistan had been prepared in the past and remained fully prepared today. He asserted that no one could undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty and security, adding that Pakistan had already demonstrated a portion of its capabilities and would defend its national security and territorial integrity at all costs.

He further stated that what had been witnessed during the Marka-e-Haq battle represented only 10 to 15 per cent of Pakistan’s overall power potential. He announced that a grand parade would be held on 14 August, during which the public would be shown a limited demonstration of the country’s capabilities, adding that the intention was to ensure that no one could later claim they “had not been warned”.
