Fire at Karachi's Lucky One shopping mall brought under control

A fire broke out in a cold storage room of Lucky One shopping mall in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Sunday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that fire and rescue teams, along with firefighters, rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control in a timely operation.

Four people affected by the fire incident were provided first aid at the scene. Rescue officials identified them as Sana, Annie, Mehr and Muhammad Mustafa.

Two other women who suffered breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. They were identified as Maha and Qurrat.

Rescue 1122 said that the prompt response by emergency teams helped contain the fire and prevent further damage. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Separately, Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem said that the the fir at Lucky One is under control now. "No loss of life or any injury reported. Alhamdulillah," he wrote on Facebook.
