The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, made it clear that any attack by the Houthis on Makkah would be considered an attack on the entire Muslim world.
In a message posted on social media, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the attack on Saudi Arabia had once again exposed what he described as the double standards of the United States and the Western world.
He said that Makkah is not merely a city but the spiritual center of billions of Muslims, adding that the Muslim Ummah would respond to such an attack with full force.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the Muslim Ummah would ensure the protection of Saudi Arabia. He urged Muslim countries to play a leading role in protecting Saudi Arabia and the Holy Mosque in Makkah during this critical and difficult time.
He also called on Pakistan to immediately announce a clear policy regarding the protection of Makkah.
He said the need for the establishment of a strong and effective Islamic bloc was being felt more than ever.
He added that millions of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam workers shared the grief and pain caused by the attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
