The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a notice concerning the residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad.

In a notice addressed to the property owner, Amanullah, the CDA directed the removal of a security guard cabin and a generator installed on green-belt land.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said the notice was part of a routine enforcement operation against encroachments being carried out across the federal capital. He added that religion or politics should not be used to defend illegal activities.

The CDA notice also identified a kitchen constructed within Maulana Fazlur Rehman's residence as a violation of building regulations.

The authority has given the property owner 15 days to remove the alleged encroachments and violations, warning that it would initiate enforcement action itself if the instructions were not followed within the stipulated period.
