The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a rally in Rawalpindi demanding the release of party founder Imran Khan, following which police registered a case against 30 party leaders and workers.

The rally was organized under the direction of PTI Youth Wing North Punjab, and led by District President Malik Taheel and General Secretary Anwar Usmani. It took place on Murree Road under the slogan “Release Imran Khan.”

Prominent participants included Youth Wing North Punjab President Raja Saqib Ali, General Secretary Shuja Abbasi, and Advisor Hanif Abbasi.

Following the rally, Cantt Police Station registered an FIR against 30 PTI leaders and activists on behalf of the police.

According to the FIR, “miscreants” blocked Murree Road while waving PTI flags, and Raja Saqib, Hanif Abbasi, and Malik Taheel, along with others, violated Section 144 by holding the demonstration.

Police have launched raids to arrest the accused, while sources said that video footage circulating on social media is also being used to identify and apprehend those involved.
