An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Monday ordered jail authorities to former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan before it at the next hearing in a case related to the 2023 attack on the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC).

The court said that Imran should appear either physically or through a video link when the case comes up again on November 5. The case was registered at Ramna Police Station against Imran and several other PTI leaders over the violence that took place during his appearance at the judicial complex in March 2023.

The court also declared former federal ministers Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar and Murad Saeed, along with former senator Shibli Faraz, proclaimed offenders after they repeatedly failed to appear.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra directed the authorities to provide details of the assets held by the four proclaimed offenders. He issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasiq Qayyum and PTI MPA Hassan Khan Niazi.

The proceedings were then adjourned until November 5.

The case relates to clashes between police and PTI supporters on March 18, 2023, when Imran appeared at the FJC for a hearing in the Toshakhana case.
