Former prime minister Imran Khan’s sisters, Noreen Khan, Aleema Khan, and Uzma Khan, staged a sit-in protest on Adiala Jail Road on Tuesday. They demanded that authorities allow them to meet their brother.

For the past three weeks, the family of Imran Khan has been denied permission to meet him in prison. This ongoing restriction has led to concerns among his supporters regarding his well-being, particularly as the PTI claims he has been placed in solitary confinement.

Aleema Khan went live from Adiala Jail last night with fellow party workers and expressed uncertainty over Khan’s presence there. “Imran Khan might be shifted somewhere else from Adiala Jail. At least give us some information if we are not allowed to meet him,” she said.

She further added, “It’s been three weeks and we have no information. Imran Khan is kept out of reach. Last week, someone came and told us that we won’t be able to meet him until further notification from Field Marshal Asim Munir.”

Last week, PTI workers and Khan’s sisters staged a peaceful sit-in at Adiala Road. After repeated refusals by the police to allow them to meet Khan, Punjab police reportedly arrested and manhandled several female party members.

Noreen Khan was reportedly dragged on the road and assaulted by the police.
