The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad has arrested 10 Pakistanis deported from Türkiye, Italy, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and registered cases against them.

The deportees arrived at Islamabad International Airport from the four countries and were booked under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport Act, 1974.

According to the FIA, six of the suspects had been deported from Türkiye over alleged attempts to travel to Europe illegally. The others, deported from Italy, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, face allegations including illegal entry, overstaying and begging.

The FIA said the suspects’ passports, travel documents and mobile phones had been taken into custody for investigation. Authorities will also investigate whether any agents or facilitators helped them travel abroad through illegal means.

FIA Islamabad Zone Director Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari said that action against human trafficking and illegal travel abroad would continue without interruption.
