“Couples should have more children if they have ample resources:” Yasir Hussain

Actor and TV host Yasir Hussain opined that couples with ample resources can have larger families, but emphasised that the ultimate decision on having children should always lie with the women.

He recently appeared in a private TV show with actress Fatima Effendi where they offered their different perspectives on having more children. 

During the program, host Aijaz Aslam mentioned that two children are ideal for a family. However, Yasir Hussain suggested that the ideal number of children can vary depending on a family's resources.

”Those who have ample resources should also have more children,” he said. 

As the discussion turned to women stepping aside from their careers to raise kids, the 'Kukri' actor observed, "Many women have achieved fame and success even after having children.”

“Children shouldn't be a barrier to one's work. If someone has talent, they will continue to pursue their career. Actresses like Ayeza Khan, Mahira Khan, and the legendary Madam Noor Jehan continued to achieve great success after giving birth,” he added. 

The 'Taxali Gate' actor stressed that the decision about having more children “should ultimately lie with the mother, as she bears the brunt of the challenges involved.”

When host Nadia Khan jokingly asked, "Why his son Kabir does not have any siblings yet?" He chuckled and replied, “Let Kabir grow up a little first.”

Yasir Hussain highlighted that there should be a gap of at least three years between the birth of each child.

Actor Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain tied the knot in December 2018 and welcomed their son Kabir Hussain on July 1, 2021.
