PIA launches deep-cleaning drive to enhance passenger experience

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched a deep-cleaning initiative for its aircraft fleet to improve passenger comfort and provide better-quality travel services.

The national flag carrier has introduced special measures to enhance aircraft cleanliness, cabin maintenance and overall service standards.

As part of the initiative, PIA conducted inspections of specialised aircraft cabin cleaning operations in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The initiative aims to maintain aircraft in optimal condition and ensure a better travel experience for passengers.

Speaking on the occasion, PIA CEO Adrian Hamilton Manns emphasised the importance of aircraft cleanliness, saying that maintaining the airline's brand at the highest standards was essential.

"Keeping our aircraft in the best possible condition is our top priority," he said.

He added that the initiative marked the beginning of a sustained effort to ensure that PIA aircraft remain in excellent condition.

PIA management reaffirmed its commitment to continuing efforts to promote higher standards of cleanliness, quality and service across the organisation.

To recognise employees who played a significant role in the cleaning initiative, the airline presented them with shields and certificates. Cash rewards were also given to employees in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The deep-cleaning campaign comes as PIA enters a new phase of management following its privatisation.
