Govt cuts petrol price by Rs0.35, raises diesel by Rs5.71 per litre

The Petroleum Division has issued a notification revising the prices of petroleum products following recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs0.35 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs315.80 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs5.71 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs360.06 per litre.

The revised prices, determined by OGRA under the new pricing mechanism, will take effect from 12am on Tuesday.

Under the new mechanism, the government will revise prices of petroleum products based on their rates in international  market on a daily basis.
