The United States has announced a reward of up to $20 million for information concerning Iran's nuclear programme.

The offer was issued under the US State Department's Rewards for Justice programme and shared by US Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees American military operations in the Middle East.

In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said individuals providing credible information about Iran's nuclear activities could receive up to $20 million, along with possible relocation assistance.

Washington is seeking details about Iran's nuclear facilities, equipment and infrastructure, as well as information about Iranian nuclear scientists and their movements.

The US State Department cited a 2025 report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which stated that Iran was enriching uranium to 60 per cent purity. Weapons-grade uranium generally requires enrichment to around 90 per cent.

The department described Iran as the only country without nuclear weapons that is enriching uranium to such a high level. US officials said the initiative was aimed at safeguarding American national security and interests.

The announcement drew reactions on social media, with some users questioning why Washington had launched military action against Iran's nuclear programme while still seeking information about it. Others questioned the timing of the reward offer, coming nearly eight months after the war began.
