US President Donald Trump has said he expects the Abraham Accords — the series of agreements normalising ties between Israel and several Arab states — to expand soon, expressing hope that Saudi Arabia will be among the next to join.

“I hope to see Saudi Arabia go in, and I hope to see others go in. I think when Saudi Arabia goes in, everybody goes in,” Trump said in an interview broadcast on Friday on the Fox Business Network.

He revealed that he had held “some very good conversations” as recently as Wednesday with countries showing interest in joining the accords. “I think that they’re going to all go in very soon,” he added.

The Abraham Accords were signed in 2020 during Trump’s first term, when the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain became the first Arab nations in a quarter-century to recognise Israel. Morocco and Sudan later joined the initiative.

Trump has recently sought to revive momentum behind the peace framework, presenting his plan to end the ongoing Gaza conflict as a potential gateway to broader regional stability. Earlier this week, he hosted Muslim and European leaders in Egypt to discuss Gaza’s future.
