Oman’s foreign minister to arrive in Pakistan today for an official visit

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi is scheduled to visit Pakistan on October 13-14 for official engagements, following an invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. During his two-day visit, the eighth session of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission will take place in Islamabad, with both countries’ foreign ministers set to co-chair the meeting. The session will provide an opportunity to review bilateral relations and explore ways to expand cooperation across various sectors, according to the Foreign Office. Albusaidi is also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his stay. The Foreign Office said the visit underscored the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Oman and was expected to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in several areas.
