Israeli forces detained at least 48 Palestinians during overnight raids across the occupied West Bank, while eight others were injured in a separate attack by Israeli settlers.

The largest operation took place in the town of Tell, west of Nablus, where the official Voice of Palestine radio reported that more than 40 Palestinian men were arrested.

Israeli troops reportedly surrounded the town, conducted extensive house-to-house searches, and converted a residential building into a temporary field interrogation center during the operation.

The raids came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered what they described as a wide-scale military operation across parts of the occupied West Bank following a deadly confrontation near the Havat Gilad settlement.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces also carried out pre-dawn raids in Jenin governorate, detaining five Palestinians after searching multiple homes. Three more Palestinians were arrested in Bethlehem governorate during separate operations, local sources said.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said eight Palestinians were injured in an attack by Israeli settlers on the village of Farata, east of Qalqilya. Six of the injured suffered live gunshot wounds.
