Indian man murders wife, shares selfie with her body as WhatsApp status

In a shocking incident, a man in India allegedly murdered his wife over suspicion of an extramarital affair and posted a disturbing selfie with her body on social media.

The accused, Balamurugan, had been married to Sri Priya, and the couple had three children. Sri Priya had been living and working at a women’s hostel in Coimbatore for personal reasons, away from her husband.

Police said Balamurugan suspected that his wife was involved with another person. On the day of the incident, he went to the hostel and asked her to come with him.

When she refused, an argument escalated, and he allegedly attacked her with a concealed sickle, killing her instantly.

After the attack, the accused reportedly remained next to her body until police arrived. In a shocking act, he took a selfie with Sri Priya’s corpse, which was lying in a pool of blood, and posted it as his WhatsApp status with the caption: “The payment for betrayal is death.”

Police have taken Balamurugan into custody and are investigating the case further.
