The United States and Israel have pulled their delegations from the ongoing Gaza ceasefire negotiations in Doha, with Trump's envoy accusing Hamas of not negotiating in 'good faith.' The talks, mediated by Egypt and Qatar, had been underway for over two weeks without a breakthrough.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, the delegations were recalled for consultations after Hamas submitted its latest response to the proposed ceasefire agreement on Wednesday.
US Special Representative Steve Witkoff told reporters that while the mediators had made “tireless efforts,” Hamas did not appear to be acting sincerely or in a coordinated manner.
“While the mediators have made a great effort, Hamas does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith,” said Witkoff.
“We will now consider alternative options to bring the hostages home and to help create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza.”

As per reports, the joint move by the US and Israel to withdraw may be a pressure tactic aimed at compelling Palestinian resistance group to compromise.
Meanwhile, Hamas stated that its delegation had held broad and constructive discussions with American representatives and remains committed to continuing the negotiations.
