17-Year-Old’s speeding car claims five lives in tragic crash

LAHORE: A speeding car ran over two young pedestrians on Lahore’s Canal Road, while all three youths inside the car were also killed in the accident.

According to Rescue 1122, the tragic incident occurred on Harbanspura Canal Road in Lahore.

Eyewitnesses said the driver was allegedly drifting when the car went out of control, first mounting the footpath along the canal before hitting two young men. The vehicle then crashed into an electricity pole and a tree.

Three people travelling in the car were killed, while an 11-year-old child who was also in the vehicle was injured. The four occupants of the car were reportedly cousins.

According to one report, the four boys had allegedly left home around 6 a.m. while their families were asleep. The victims who died were between 15 and 18 years old.
