South Africa crowned WCL 2025 winners after dominant 9-wicket win over Pakistan

South Africa clinched the title of the World Championship of Legends 2025 by defeating Pakistan Champions by nine wickets in a one-sided final held in Birmingham.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. They posted a total of 195 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Sharjeel Khan starred with the bat for Pakistan, scoring a brilliant 76 runs off 44 balls, which included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Shoaib Malik, however, struggled to find rhythm and managed only 20 runs off 25 balls.
Asif Ali contributed 28 runs off 15 balls, hitting 1 four and 2 sixes, while Umar Amin remained unbeaten with 36 runs off 19 deliveries.
For South Africa, Hardus Viljoen and Wayne Parnell claimed two wickets each.
In reply, South Africa chased down the 196-run target with ease, reaching the total in the 17th over with nine wickets in hand.
AB de Villiers delivered a masterclass innings, scoring an unbeaten 120 off just 60 balls, featuring 12 fours and 7 sixes — his third century of the tournament.
JP Duminy supported him well with an unbeaten 50 off 28 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes.
The only South African wicket to fall was Hashim Amla, who made 18 runs from 14 balls before being dismissed by Saeed Ajmal.
