Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has called on PTI supporters from across the country to gather at Swabi Interchange on October 11, where the party will announce its next move for the march seeking the release of jailed founder Imran Khan.

The march began on October 4, but its route and final destination remain unclear. Although the PTI initially announced plans to head towards Islamabad, Afridi has yet to spell out where the march will go after reaching Swabi. So far, the procession has stayed within KP, where the PTI is in power.

Speaking to participants on their way to Charsadda, Afridi indicated that the march would continue beyond Swabi. He also dismissed warnings from the federal government as “empty threats”, saying the authorities could not harm party workers once they crossed the provincial boundary.

In Charsadda, Afridi outlined plans for the arrival of more party convoys at Swabi Interchange. According to a statement issued by his office, he said convoys from Peshawar and Malakand divisions would reach the interchange on October 13. A separate plan for Hazara Division would also be announced that day.

Convoys from Kohat Division are also expected to reach Swabi, while those from Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan divisions will join the march along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route, the statement added.
