Pakistan has officially unveiled the football for the FIFA World Cup 2026, reaffirming the country’s leading role in global sports manufacturing.

The ball, named “Trionda”, has been produced by Forward Sports, a renowned Sialkot-based company, while the design has been created by Adidas. The name “Trionda,” derived from Spanish, translates to “three waves”, symbolizing the unity and cooperation among the three host nations — Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The football’s design incorporates red, green, and blue tones, inspired by the national colors of the host countries, with golden patterns representing the FIFA World Cup trophy, lending it a distinctive and premium look.

Constructed with four advanced panels, the ball is engineered for durability and all-weather performance. It also integrates a 500 Hz motion sensor chip, capable of recording every movement of the ball.

This real-time data will be connected to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to enhance decision-making accuracy during matches.

Forward Sports has an impressive history of collaboration with Adidas, having previously produced the official footballs for the 2014, 2018, and 2022 World Cups.

Its continued selection underscores Pakistan’s excellence in precision manufacturing and global reputation in the sports industry.

Most footballs used in international tournaments — and indeed, across the world — are made in Sialkot, Pakistan. The FIFA Club World Cup 25 Pro Ball was also manufactured in the country, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as a global leader in sports goods production.
