"Hi guys, so I was honoured by the Pakistan Army. My name write there as captain. So captain Amir Khan, yup three pips as well. Big thank you to the Pakistan Army," he said in the video.

The development came after the boxer and and national karate champion Shahzaib Rind arrived at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to meet Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting was held between the athletes and the top armyman to discuss sports in Pakistan.

During the meeting, the Army Chief praised both the athletes for their outstanding achievements in the field of sports.

"COAS appreciated both for their phenomenal achievements in the field of sports," the military's media wing said in a statement.

Gen Asim "expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s youth for their outstanding potential."
