Teenage boy found dead outside home under mysterious circumstances in Karachi

A teenage boy was found dead outside his home near the football ground in Karachi's Pipri area on Thursday.

According to the police, the body of the 13-year-old boy was initially shifted to Al-Khidmat Hospital in Gulshan-e-Hadeed before being taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

The police identified the deceased as Sabir, adding that the boy had attended a wedding ceremony with his family on Wednesday night but did not return home with them. He was found dead outside his house early Thursday morning.

The Bin Qasim SHO said that police suspect the boy may have died after consuming a poisonous substance, but stressed that the exact cause of death could only be determined through a post-mortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, according to reports, the deceased's family took the body from the hospital without a post-mortem examination.
