In a shocking incident, a human skeleton was discovered during the construction of a house in Karachi's Orangi town area, the police said on Monday.

The property owner, Salim Kashmiri, had sold the house to a man named Azeem, a year ago.

During the construction, Azeem found a human skeleton in one of the rooms. Initial reports indicated that the skeleton, wrapped in cloth, likely belonged to a woman, who was reportedly buried several years ago.

According to police sources, the forensic team has collected DNA samples for later matching with the database. However, the case will be officially registered after the forensic report.

In a similar incident in October of this year, a human skeleton was found in a bungalow near Zamzama, under the jurisdiction of the Clifton police station.

The then Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Imran Qureshi stated that an investigation has been initiated by the Clifton police. The skeleton was sent to the hospital for identification and a medical report.

The closed bungalow, unattended for over seven months, was reportedly owned by Muhammad Ahmad Aslam.
