Woman found dead inside Karachi’s Defence Phase 8 flat

KARACHI: Police reportedly found the body of a 36-year-old woman inside a flat in Karachi’s Defence Phase 8 on Monday.

According to media reports citing police, the woman was identified as Shumaila. Her body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a post-mortem examination.

Police said preliminary findings suggested the possibility of suicide. However, the circumstances surrounding her death have yet to be established, pending further investigation and medical examination.

Authorities are collecting information about the incident and the woman’s personal background as part of the investigation. The cause and manner of death remain unconfirmed.
