Police have arrested five suspects who were involved in a series of robberies while disguised in police uniforms.

The arrests were made by Orangi's Iqbal Market Police in a raid at Hawagoth, Raja Tanveer Colony, according to SSP Tariq Mastoi.

The suspects were already wanted in a case registered at the Iqbal Market Police Station. SSP Mastoi revealed that the group had been conducting robberies in various homes by posing as police officers.

They also confessed to their involvement in street crimes in areas such as Orangi, Baldia Town, and Manghopir.

The suspects would first survey their target houses and then scale the walls to break in, added SSP Mastoi. During the arrest, police recovered weapons, police uniforms, mobile phones, and cash from the suspects. Further investigations are ongoing.
