An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) has been appointed with the Federal Investigation Agency’s immigration wing, now being utilized for an administrative task at Karachi Airport, involving cleanliness, eradication of pests, and sewerage work.

ASI Munawar Mehdi has been assigned the responsibility of handling the administrative supervision of washroom cleanliness, pest control, and sewerage maintenance at the airport in collaboration with the concerned authorities of the airport management.

As per this order, Mehdi has been asked to provide hourly reports on the status of airport toilet cleanliness and monitor the work done for controlling pests in sewerage areas within the premises.

According to sources at the Karachi airport, this decision was taken after the results of the internal inquiry launched against the officer. The sources revealed that the inquiry officer had suggested the officer, Mehdi, should not be posted at any immigration check post in the future.

As a result of the investigation, Mehdi was assigned to work at the Office of the Deputy Director at the FIA, and he was moved to an administrative post, which was in line with the findings of the investigation, according to officials.
