A group of armed robbers snatched Rs1.9 million and other valuables from a businessman at gunpoint in Landhi area of Karachi on Friday. 

The incident occurred at the Future Mor area in Landhi, which was captured on CCTV camera.

According to details, four dacoits on two motorcycles snatched Rs1.9 million, mobile phones and other valuables from the businessman and his driver as their car approached their shop in Landhi.

The robbers chased the man when he was returning from a private bank located at Quaidabad's Dawood Chowrangi. 

The police have obtained CCTV footage of the incident and launched an investigation.

The rampant street crimes have instilled fear and a sense of insecurity among the citizens as ruthless robbers have been freely roaming the city, looting people and killing them over the slightest hint of resistance with impunity.

At least 54 people have been killed in the metropolis for resisting robbery in just three months of the ongoing year.

14 people were shot dead by ruthless robbers in twenty-four days of the holy month of Ramadan.
