A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to a private hospital in Islamabad for medical treatment.

According to media reports, a miscellaneous application has been submitted in the apex court in the main Toshakhana criminal case. The plea has been filed under Rule 35(6) of the Supreme Court Rules, 2025.

In the application, the petitioner has requested that Imran Khan be shifted to Al Shifa International Hospital for treatment. The plea also asks the court to allow him access to his personal doctors and to permit medical care in the presence of his family members.

It is worth noting that a two-member bench of the Supreme Court has already adjourned proceedings in the Toshakhana criminal case until a final decision is announced by the high court.
