Just two days before the anniversary of the May 9 mayhem, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded the formation of a judicial commission to probe the riots.

Addressing the media outside Adiala jail, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said the founder of the party, Imran Khan, had not meant to spoil the ties of the country with the US.

Gohar claimed that some PTI members were stopped from meeting founder Imran Khan, he said earlier they had stopped Intazar Panjhota— counsel of PTI founder— and today they did not allow Sher Afzal Marwat to meet the former premier.

However, Gohar said PTI founder expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court order that assured them that no party would be given more seats than they won.

Barrister Gohar and his party members informed Imran Khan about the meeting with the US ambassador, on which he expressed satisfaction.

Talking about the anniversary of the May 9 incident that had sparked after the arrest of Imran Khan from the premises of Islamabad High Court, Gohar announced a peaceful protest across the country.

Maintaining the talk, Gohar said that his party demanded the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 mayhem with available CCTV footage of the incident.”

However, Barrister Gohar said he, Asad Qaiser and Omar Ayub attended the meeting with the US ambassador, and the meeting has no connection to the cipher issue.

According to Omar Ayub, the US ambassador himself expressed his desire for this gathering.
