Gulshan-e-Hadeed recorded the highest rainfall in Karachi with 17 millimetres as showers lashed parts of the city, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD said Orangi Town and Surjani Town each received 5.5mm of rainfall, while Keamari recorded 3.5mm and PAF Masroor Base 3mm.

Nazimabad received 2.3mm of rainfall, whereas 2.6mm was recorded around Jinnah Terminal and the Old Airport area, the department added.

The rainfall measurements were released by the PMD after rain affected several areas of Karachi. No further details were immediately available.
