The Pakistan Airport Authority has issued a new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), extending the airspace ban for Indian aircraft until November 23, 2025.
According to the newly issued NOTAM, the restriction applies to all Indian-registered aircraft, including passenger, military, and cargo planes.
Pakistan has kept its airspace closed to India since April 2025, and the ban has now been extended for another month. Authorities confirmed that the restriction is linked to the broader regional security situation and remains subject to periodic review.
Indian carriers such as Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and GoAir have reported higher operational costs due to increased fuel consumption and disrupted flight schedules resulting from the ongoing ban.
The continued airspace closure underscores the persistent political deadlock between the two nuclear-armed neighbours following their recent conflict.
