Nawaz Sharif departs for London for medical check-up

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif departed for London Friday morning for a regular medical check-up.

However, sources believed that the visit would be beyond his medical check.

The three-time prime minister began his days-long travel to visit five countries, including Dubai, London, the US, and two European countries, alongside his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab. 

PML-N’s supreme leader started his travel at 9am after reaching Lahore Airport from Jati Umrah on Friday. 

The visit is intended to be concluded with important meetings with leaders of the aforementioned countries, according to the sources.

Nawaz Sharif travelled on a flight of a private airline to Dubai, where he is expected to spend a day.

Later, the father-daughter duo will leave for London, sources added.

Party sources further said that Nawaz Sharif will go to the US from London on October 29, where he will stay for four days.

Nawaz Sharif was scheduled to visit London for a medical checkup; however, a constitutional amendment postponed the visit, which had already been cancelled twice.
