Law enforcement agencies in Karachi have made a comprehensive security plan, including a traffic diversion strategy, to avoid any untoward incident during processions and religious gatherings on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

According to the plan, the streets around the M.A Jinnah Road will be closed for security purposes.

“Traffic from M.R Kiyani Road Chowrangi and Empress Market will be diverted to Court Road and Zaib-un-Nissa Street, respectively. Meanwhile, vehicles from Sharah-e-Liaqat and Aram Bagh would be moved towards Shaheen Complex,” the traffic plan read.

Traffic from the University Road will be diverted to Kashmir Road from the Jail Road flyover, and commuters from people’s Chowrangi could use Shahrah-e-Quaideen or Corridor 3 to reach Saddar.

Moreover, traffic from the Gurumandir to M.A Jinnah road will be turned towards the Central Jail flyover.

The main celebratory processions in the port city will start from Shaheed Masjid and Memon Masjid.

Several big and small rallies will be taken out from the different areas of Karachi from Monday evening till Tuesday.

On the other hand, the Sindh government had announced a ban on pillion riding in many parts of the province, including Karachi.
