Karachi likely to experience dip in temperature from tomorrow

The Met department said that Karachi is likely to experience a drop in temperature from Tuesday.

It outlined that residents should expect cooler nights continuing till the end of December.

The met department also revealed that on Monday the lowest temperature recorded was 14 degrees Celsius, while temperatures on Tuesday are expected to range between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius. There is also no forecast of rainfall in Karachi over the next 10 days.

The reason for the dense fog on Sunday morning was also discussed by chief meteorologist Ameer Haider, who revealed that excess moisture from a recent monsoon spell across the country, combined with very low wind speeds led to fog formation near the ground. He also assured that there is no likelihood of fog returning over the next 10 days.

According to him, a weather system has entered the country, on Monday, bringing snowfall to northern regions. He predicted that the last week of December will remain pleasant in Karachi but the first two weeks of January are expected to be colder, offering a taste of typical winters to Karachiites.
