CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir, during a visit to Lahore Garrison, claimed that there would be a zero-tolerance policy towards any threat to national security. He, while addressing the officers, stressed on readiness, discipline and innovation as new security challenges surface.

According to ISPR, the army chief assured of the army’s determination to safeguard Pakistan in all aspects, be it, its territorial integrity, internal stability or its sovereignty.

The Lahore corps commander received the Field Marshal on his visit. He also briefed him on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards and initiatives aimed at enhancing combat efficiency.

The CDF was shown a field training exercise comprising modern techniques, it highlighted the army’s focus on innovation and adaptability to meet the demands of evolving battlefields.

The sports and recreational facilities for officers were also inspected by the army chief. He later visited a care centre at Combined Military Hospital Lahore. He was satisfied by the modern healthcare facility for serving officers and their families.

Asim Munir’s Lahore visit and remarks come amid heightened regional and internal security concerns. His statement reassured that the armed forces remain vigilant and fully prepared to counter both internal and external threats. Anything that will hamper the peace and stability of the country will face grave consequences from the security forces.
