ISLAMABAD: In a major kidnapping incident, National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) officer Muhammad Usman has been abducted from the basement parking area of Zara Heights in the federal capital.
According to police reports, four armed men intercepted the officer’s car and forcibly took him away. CCTV footage shows a white Toyota Corolla involved in the abduction, clearly capturing the entire sequence of events.
The incident has raised serious concerns about security in Islamabad, as even senior officials of key federal institutions appear to be unsafe, with law enforcement failing to prevent such incidents.
A kidnapping case has been registered at Shams Colony Police Station on the complaint of the officer’s wife, Rozina Usman.
The abduction occurred between 7 PM and 8 PM on October 14, according to the FIR.
In her statement, Rozina said her husband was working on a sensitive government project when he was abducted by unknown armed men. She urged authorities to locate and recover her husband immediately.
Police teams are currently reviewing the CCTV footage and conducting raids in different areas to trace the suspects and recover the missing officer.
