Sahibzada Farhan named T20 captain as Pakistan announce squads for Sri Lanka series, ODI tri-series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the squads for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka and the ODI tri-series involving Sri Lanka and England, naming Sahibzada Farhan as T20 captain while retaining Shaheen Shah Afridi as ODI skipper.
Sahibzada Farhan will lead Pakistan in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, with all three matches scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11 and 13.
The 15-member T20I squad includes Sahibzada Farhan, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Arafat Minhas, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Nawaz, Muhammad Imran, wicketkeeper-batter Khawaja Nafay, Maaz Sadaqat, Naseem Shah, Razaullah, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, meanwhile, will continue to captain Pakistan in the ODI format.

Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka will feature in a seven-match ODI tri-series. The first three matches will be played in Rawalpindi, with the remaining league matches and the final scheduled in Lahore.
The 16-member ODI squad includes Abrar Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori, Haris Rauf, Hassan Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Razaullah, Saad Baig, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem, in addition to captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.
The team management will be headed by Mike Hesson as head coach, with Shaun Tait serving as bowling coach, Michael Smith as batting coach and Mansoor Amjad as fielding coach.
Naveed Akram Cheema has been appointed team manager, while Shafqat Shabbir and Syed Nazir Ahmed will serve as media managers for Rawalpindi and Lahore respectively.
