Renowned actor Durefishan Saleem demanded that Natasha Danish Iqbal, the prime suspect in the deadly Karsaz car accident, face consequences for driving under the influence of "ice" drugs.

On Wednesday, a chemical examination report confirmed the presence of banned drug "ice" in Natasha's urine sample. The probe team will present the report to the court.

Earlier, when videos of Natasha Iqbal from the accident scene surfaced online, she appeared dizzy and intoxicated.

The horrific accident on August 19 sparked outrage in the country after the suspect, daughter-in-law of the business tycoon family Gul Ahmed, crashed her car into several vehicles on a nearby lane at Karsaz road in Karachi, killing a father and daughter and injuring four others.

Taking to Instagram, Durefishan Saleem insisted on punishment for individuals involved in drug use and criminal behaviour.

“Hold each and every human who does drugs in any form accountable for their actions,” her post read.

CCTV footage of the deadly accident revealed that the suspect struck another car and bike on the same road.

She attempted to flee the scene by overspeeding and crashed into the motorbike of the father and daughter, as shown in the footage.

A case of the incident was registered at Bahadurabad police station on the complaint of the brother of the deceased man.

The Karsaz car accident case is currently pending in court. On August 21, the accused woman was sent on a judicial remand for 14 days.

Natasha Iqbal's lawyer initially claimed that she was mentally unstable and that the family was unaware of when she had taken the car from home.

However, she was declared “mentally fit” by the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) Department of Psychiatry.
