YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, posted his first vlog after securing his release on bail in the gambling apps case.
He alleged that NCCIA officers, particularly Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, verbally abused and assaulted him while he was in their custody. He added that the officers also harassed his wife, Aroob Jatoi, and his elderly mother.
The YouTuber claimed that the officials demanded bribes and transferred a large sum from his crypto currency trading accounts to the investigating officer’s (IO) account.
Magistrate Naeem Watto heard the application of YouTuber Ducky Bhai which was presented in the Bail case.
During the proceedings, the NCCIA prosecutor told the magistrate that the original investigating officer had been sent to jail, and the case records needed to be retrieved from him. The prosecuto, therefore, requested extra time to prepare the response.
The magistrate accepted the request and granted NCCIA an additional three days to file its reply, setting Dec 12 as the new deadline.
However, the application states that the cellphones are in the custody of NCCIA officials should be returned.
The FIA informed the magistrate that over Rs25 million had been recovered from several officials, including Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, Deputy Director (acting in charge) Muhammad Zawar Ahmad, Assistant Directors Shoaib Riaz and Mujtaba Zafar, and Sub-Inspectors Ali Raza and Yasir Ramzan. All of the officers, who have since resigned from their posts, are currently in jail on judicial remand.
