Bollywood's success continues to be fueled by pirated music, as seen in the recent film "Animal" starring Ranbir Kapoor, which features an Iranian song ‘Jamal Jamaloo.”

Though "Animal" has achieved tremendous box office success, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster "Pathan," it has also garnered widespread criticism for promoting male chauvinism and violence against women.

The captivating melody of the 'Jamal Kudu' song during Bobby Deol's entry in the film drew the attention of critics and supporters alike. Deol, portraying 'Abrar Haque,' dances to the music while skillfully balancing a glass of wine on his head

The song's viral beat and catchy hook step have taken social media by storm, with many people replicating Bobby Deol's moves and incorporating the song into their Instagram reels.

However, there is a twist to this scenario, though unsurprising, the viral ‘Jamal Kudu’ song is actually the recreation of popular and delightful Iranian song “Jamal Jamaloo.” The song was skillfully adapted for the film by music composer Harshvardhan Rameshwar.

Composed by Khatareh Group, the song was first performed by the Shirazi Choir in the 1950s. This enchanting melody has become a timeless wedding favourite. The translation of the lyrics reveals a plea to a departing lover: "Oh my black-eyed beauty, don't play with my heart; you are leaving, embarking on a journey; and I'm getting crazy; Oh my love, my beloved."

The musical inspiration for "Jamal Jamaloo" stems from the poem of the same name, written by Iranian poet Bijan Smandar.

The delicate poetry expressing the profound emotions of a lover for his soulmate juxtaposed with the violent man's portrayal of rage and savagery seemed absolutely out of place.

The creators of the film "Animal" have finally released the full version of the viral song "Jamal Kudu," and it has already amassed 27 million views on YouTube in just four days.

Despite the initial criticism, "Animal" has managed to achieve significant box office success. The film's high production value, captivating performances, and catchy music have drawn audiences to theaters,

The film "Animal," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features a prominent cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. The story revolves around Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh's reaction to learning of an assassination plot against his father.
