Affan Waheed addresses marriage rumours with Durrefishan Saleem

Television heartthrob Affan Waheed candidly addressed the speculations surrounding his marriage to co-star Durrefishan Saleem, lightly quipping that there are no shortage of marriage rumors circulating on YouTube.

Waheed set the record straight in a recent interview regarding the wedding shoot with his co-star Durrefishan, that garnered attention on social media, fueling speculation about their relationship.

The 'Do Bol' actor denied the rumours, attributing the speculation to fans who admired their on-screen chemistry, particularly during their collaboration in the ‘Pardes’ drama series.

He clarified, stating, "Our drama gained popularity, and we were approached for a wedding shoot. We participated in it and that’s all." He playfully mentioned being portrayed as married multiple times on YouTube. 

Discussing his approach to building friendships within the entertainment industry, he revealed his introverted nature and the limited number of friends he maintains in the field. He emphasized specific qualities he values in friends, including “the ability to understand his mood swings without taking them personally.”

According to Affan, he values those friends “who are good listeners, capable of hearing him out even when he may be in the wrong, without passing judgment.”

The ‘Khamoshi’ actor maintained that he steers clear of controversies, emphasising that while he hasn't encountered backlash, he chooses to stay away from the limelight.

While acknowledging the benefits of fame, he stressed the importance of not taking them for granted.  He also mentioned that people sometimes refuse to charge him at restaurants, but he always pays, as he earns his own money and expects others to do the same.
