Gold price rises while silver falls in local market

Gold prices moved upward in Pakistan on Thursday in line with gains in the international bullion market.
According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,523 during the day, reaching Rs469,285 in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of gold also recorded an increase of Rs1,305 and was sold at Rs402,335.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold prices had dropped sharply by Rs8,600 per tola, settling at Rs467,762.
In the international market, gold prices rose by $14 per ounce to reach $4,468, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market witnessed a decline, falling by Rs97 to settle at Rs7,797 per tola.
