Saudi Aramco administrative building in Riyadh damaged amid missile interceptions

An administrative building belonging to Saudi Aramco in Riyadh was hit, causing minor damage from falling shrapnel, an official at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy said.

An official ministry source said debris fell on the building, causing limited damage. Relevant authorities responded to the incident and were taking the necessary measures, the ministry added.

The incident came amid a series of missile and drone interceptions reported across Saudi Arabia in recent days.

On Sunday, the Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted and destroyed two cruise missiles over Riyadh and southern regions of the Kingdom. The announcement followed earlier reports that three ballistic missiles launched by Yemen's Houthi militia had been intercepted while targeting Riyadh and the Eastern Region.

Saudi Civil Defence also issued an early warning alert in Riyadh on Sunday, followed later by an all-clear.The coalition had reported further interceptions in recent days, including a cruise missile targeting the Riyadh Region on Saturday and two ballistic missiles aimed at Najran on Friday.
