Young Karachi entrepreneur turns passion into growing business

Arish Ali, a young entrepreneur from Karachi, recently shared his inspiring business journey with Dialogue Pakistan, explaining how his passion for food and cooking encouraged him to start his own venture at a young age.

Arish said his interest in cooking developed from watching his mother prepare food at home. As a food lover himself, he began experimenting with cooking and trying different recipes. What started as a hobby eventually turned into a business, which he launched around eight months ago.

Alongside managing his business, Arish continues to pursue his studies. He said one of his main motivations for starting the venture was to earn his own pocket money and become financially independent at a young age.

He credited his family for strongly supporting his decision, particularly his mother and brother, who helped provide the initial investment.

According to Arish, they started the business with a minimal investment and focused primarily on maintaining hygiene and delivering good-quality food. He said his mother continues to assist him with the business, while his brother manages its social media presence.

The venture currently offers a variety of fast-food items, including burgers, zingers and loaded fries. Arish said that while other young people may have hobbies such as cricket, cooking is his passion and his own way of expressing himself.

Despite the challenges of running a business while studying, Arish said he does not allow setbacks to discourage him. Instead, he remains focused on improving the business and learning from the experience.

Looking ahead, the young entrepreneur hopes to expand his venture and establish multiple outlets across Karachi and beyond.
